What is Homeopathy?
Homeopathy is a very effective treatment for a vast range of health problems. It uses non-addictive, safe, medications to stimulate the body's self healing mechanisms and has the added advantage of increasing vitality, improving general health and reducing stress.

Homoeopathy is a holistic form of treatment developed over 200 years ago. This means it treats the whole of the person and takes into account the patient’s mental and emotional states as well as physical ailments.
It uses a principle of similars, which involves matching a patient’s symptoms to a remedy. All Homeopathic remedies are derived from natural sources which are diluted so that the energy of the substance alone is used. This ensures the remedies are all safe, gentle, effective and deep acting.

Who can use it?
Homoeopathic treatment is so safe it can be used by young and old alike and it is even safe enough to use during pregnancy. As it works only on the energetic levels of healing, it can also be used alongside conventional medications without fear of drug interactions. It can be especially useful where patients are unable to tolerate the side effects of orthodox medicines or when conventional treatment is not getting to the root of a problem.

What will the Homeopath ask me about?
When visiting a homoeopath they will ask you a lot of questions that may seem unrelated to your illness i.e. food likes and dislikes, past ailments and childhood diseases, and what type of person you are. The answers that you give are all taken into consideration by the homoeopath in deciding which remedy to give you. It is through this consultation that a complete individual picture is formed and the correct remedy can then be prescribed.
The Homeopath will also be interested in any information or diagnosis you may have or any medications you are taking.
